Ben qualified from Liverpool Vet School in 2007 and has worked exclusively in farm animal veterinary medicine his whole career. He became secretary of the Goat Veterinary Society in 2012 and became President in 2023. Ben delivers goat related CPD and consultancy throughout the UK and internationally, alongside running a farm animal veterinary practice in the Lake District. Ben has a keen interest in all aspects of goat medicine and has published peer reviewed work on goat scrapie. Much of Ben’s time as President of the GVS is taken up responding to enquiries and consultations on goat matters, as well as responding to goat veterinary enquiries from both veterinarians and goat keepers alike.
